The Vintage Bronze St. Benedict Rosary Center is shield-shaped and worked on both faces. The front holds a haloed Benedict in his habit, standing within the panel with a small rosette cast below him. The reverse carries a round medal sunk into the same shield, bearing the Benedictine cross with single letters set in the angles of its arms.
Those letters are the shorthand of the Saint Benedict medal, in which each initial stands for a word of a Latin prayer of protection. In the angles of the cross stands C S P B, Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti, the cross of our holy father Benedict; along the arms runs N D S M D, Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux, let not the dragon be my guide. It is the most explicitly protective of Catholic medals, and placing it where the decades meet sets that guard over the whole prayer.
The St. Benedict rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
