The Vintage Bronze St. Joseph Medal is a bold profile bust of the saint, bearded and haloed, facing right with a flowering lily stem rising at his shoulder. His name, JOSEPH, is lettered on the rim, and the reverse carries an interlaced monogram in a lobed cartouche.
The lily is his flower, the sign of the purity of his marriage to Our Lady and, in the old story, of the staff that bloomed when he was chosen to be her husband. Joseph is patron of the universal Church, of workers, of fathers and of a happy death, having died, as the tradition has it, with Jesus and Mary beside him. His devotion is quiet by temperament, like the man himself: not a word of his is recorded in the Gospels, only what he did.
The St. Joseph medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
