The Vintage Bronze Miraculous Medal Cross sets an oval of Our Lady of Grace, her hands lowered and rays falling from them, at the center of a cross with fanned, pierced arms. The reverse carries the familiar device: the letter M surmounted by a cross, twelve stars around it, and the two Hearts of Jesus and Mary below.
Both faces belong to the medal Our Lady asked for in the rue du Bac in Paris in 1830, when she showed St. Catherine Labouré the design and told her to have it made, promising graces to all who wore it. The rays falling from her hands are those graces, and she said many of them go unasked for. Here the whole design has been carried onto a cross, so that the Miraculous Medal and the sign of the Passion are worn as one piece.
The Miraculous Medal cross was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
