The Vintage Bronze Sacred Heart and Veiled Virgin Rosary Center carries a devotion on each face. One side holds a bust of Christ with rays breaking about his head and one hand lifted to the heart on his breast. The other shows the Virgin veiled and standing with her hands joined, a rayed nimbus behind her and small dotted stars scattered across the fall of her mantle, in the form long associated with Our Lady of Fatima.
Paired this way, the two devotions speak to each other. The Sacred Heart is the love of Christ shown openly and offered without reserve; the veiled Virgin of Fatima asked that the rosary be prayed daily for peace. A center is the piece the fingers return to at the close of every decade, so having both images there means the whole chaplet is held between them. Neither face is lettered, and the relief does all the speaking on its own, deep and confident and easy to read by touch.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the piece's vintage character.
