The Vintage Bronze Lourdes and Sacred Heart Rosary Center carries two devotions on one small plate. The front holds Christ standing at half length within a frame of scrolls and shells, his hand laid over the heart at his breast. The reverse gives the whole field to Lourdes: the Virgin standing in the high rock niche of the grotto, Bernadette kneeling below her among the rocks, and the roofline of the basilica showing at the left.
Neither side is lettered, and the grotto needs no caption. The small kneeling figure beneath the niche has identified Lourdes on medals since the apparitions of 1858, and the spring that rose there has drawn the sick ever since. Paired with the Sacred Heart, the refuge of every hard case brought to it, this makes a center well suited to a rosary said for a healing or a long intention.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
