The Vintage Bronze Fleur de Lis Rosary Center is modelled fully in the round rather than stamped flat. The central petal is ribbed and furled, the side petals curl outward, and the three are drawn together at a banded waist, so the lily keeps real depth from whichever side it is seen.
The lily has stood for purity since the Middle Ages and belongs above all to the Blessed Mother, greeted in the litanies as the flower of the field; in its heraldic form it became the emblem of France and of the French crown as well.
