The Vintage Bronze Crown of Thorns Crucifix and Center Set draws its whole design from a single image of the Passion. A woven crown of thorns wraps the crossing of the crucifix and closes again around the face of the rosary center, so the two read as one thought rather than two ornaments. The corpus is quietly modelled and the shaft left plain, which lets the thorn wreath carry the piece.
The crown of thorns is the Passion's own emblem, the mockery that Christian devotion turned into a diadem, and it has been prayed with for centuries as a reminder of the King crowned in his suffering. Set on both the cross and the center, it gathers a whole rosary around that one meditation, so the beads begin and end at Calvary.
The crucifix and center were faithfully reproduced from antique originals and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves their vintage character.
