The Vintage Yellow Bronze Holy Spirit Dove Rosary Center is built as an open ring. Two curling bands form the circle, and across the opening a dove flies with its wings spread and its tail fanned, daylight showing through on either side of it. A leafy sprig runs below the beak, and a small flower with a round bead finishes the foot.
The descending dove is the Church's oldest image of the Holy Spirit, given at the Jordan when the heavens opened over Christ and again at Pentecost in the upper room. The sprig carried before it recalls the branch brought back to the ark, the first word that the waters had gone down. Set at the center of a rosary, where every set of mysteries begins and ends, it stands for the Spirit who prays in us when we do not know how to pray.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
