The Vintage Bronze Two Doves Rosary Center has neither frame nor field. It is simply two birds in flight, facing one another with their wings raised so that they meet overhead in a low arch, every feather cut into the metal and the outstretched tails carrying the design out to either side.
The dove has stood for the Holy Spirit since the Gospels describe the Spirit coming down over the Jordan in that form, and a pair of doves carries an older scriptural sense as well: the offering Mary and Joseph made at the Temple when they presented the Child, the offering of the poor. Either reading belongs at the center of a rosary, where both of those moments are prayed. It is uncommonly graceful work for a rosary part, open and light and made entirely of the two birds.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
