The Vintage Bronze St. Faustina Lacy Rosary Center is large and unusually pretty. An oval portrait panel sits inside a deep border of pierced leaves and lacework that scallops the outline of the whole piece. The bust is of a young nun in veil and habit with her eyes lowered, S. FAUSTINA cut beside her and ITALY opposite, where the original was made. The reverse repeats the pierced frame around a domed oval lettered simply Pray for us.
St. Faustina Kowalska was the Polish sister whose diary gave the Church the Divine Mercy devotion: the message that no soul is beyond the reach of God's mercy, and that the way to receive it is to trust. She died in 1938 and was canonized in 2000, and the chaplet she was given has since been prayed in every corner of the world. This center suits a Divine Mercy chaplet as naturally as it does a rosary, and it makes a real centerpiece for a full-size strand.
