The Vintage Bronze Praying Madonna in a Rose Frame Center shows the Virgin in profile, her head bowed slightly and her hands joined at her breast, the veil falling in one long unbroken line down her back and a plain disc of a halo rising behind her. She stands within a slender arched frame with a full-blown blossom at each upper corner and a low bank of small flowers running across the foot.
Nothing is inscribed here, and nothing needs to be. This is Mary at prayer rather than Mary titled, in the attitude she keeps through the whole of the Gospel, pondering things in her heart, and the flattened petals, bare arch and long sweeping veil place the original in the Art Nouveau years at the opening of the twentieth century. It makes a graceful and quiet center for a rosary of any color.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
