The Vintage Bronze Miraculous Medal Center with Flowers sets Our Lady in a garden. She stands on a small globe with her arms lowered and open and rays falling from her hands, exactly as she is shown on the Miraculous Medal, while a large open flower and curling stems fill the other half of the piece and a single bud hangs below.
The design comes from the apparition given to Saint Catherine Labouré in the Rue du Bac in Paris in 1830, when Our Lady asked that a medal be struck in this likeness and promised graces to all who wore it. The rays from her hands are those graces, given to everyone who thinks to ask. What makes this center uncommon is the frame around that familiar figure, leaf and blossom growing up in a line closer to art nouveau than to the usual oval, which gives it real character at the join of a rosary.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
