One flower fills the Vintage Bronze Lily Rosary Center. On the front a lily stands open in full bloom, its petals curling forward past the edge of the frame and its stamens raised at the middle, modelled deeply enough to cast real shadow. The reverse shows the same flower from behind, closed into a long bud with its leaves folded around it.
The lily is the flower of purity and of the Annunciation, held out by Gabriel in countless paintings of the moment Mary gave her consent. It belongs to St. Joseph, whose staff blossomed, and to St. Anthony of Padua, and it has stood for chastity and for the beauty of a soul in grace since the earliest Christian art. Bloom on one face and bud on the other, it sits naturally at the turn of a rosary.
The lily rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the piece's vintage character.
