The Vintage Bronze Large Radiant Miraculous Rosary Center is built in two parts: a broad radiant rosette at the top, cut like a starburst, and below it the standing Virgin with her arms lowered and open in the attitude familiar from the Miraculous Medal. Her mantle falls in long unbroken folds, and the rays of the rosette read as the light she was seen holding.
Catherine Labouré saw that light at the Rue du Bac in Paris in 1830, streaming from Mary's hands as the graces given to everyone who asks for them. The reverse carries the companion device of the vision: the letter M surmounted by a bar and cross, stars set around it, and the two hearts beneath, one crowned with thorns and one pierced by a sword. It is a large center, made for a substantial rosary rather than a delicate one.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
