The Vintage Bronze Heart Rosary Center with Chalice and Host is given over entirely to the Blessed Sacrament. A footed chalice stands at the middle with the Host rising above it in a burst of rays, ears of wheat filling the field to one side and grapevine, leaf and blossom to the other, the whole design closed by a plain raised rim.
Wheat and grape are the oldest Eucharistic shorthand there is, standing for the bread and wine carried up to the altar and given back as the Body and Blood of Christ. A heart-shaped center carrying them was very often chosen to mark a First Communion, the day a child first receives what the chalice holds. Nothing is lettered on the piece, and nothing needs to be; these emblems have said what Catholics mean by them for the better part of two thousand years.
This rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
