The Divine Mercy Rosary Center has a bold outline: a pointed, star-shaped frame worked in openwork, set with a rosette on either side and finished with a crest above and a matching point below. In the round field at the center Christ stands in a long robe, his right hand lifted in blessing, his left hand touching his breast, the drapery falling in straight folds to his feet.
That gesture, one hand raised and the other laid on the breast from which the rays are shown issuing, is the posture of the Divine Mercy image, the devotion that grew out of St. Faustina Kowalska's visions in Poland in the 1930s and spread worldwide through the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. A rosary center is a natural home for it, since the chaplet is prayed on ordinary rosary beads. No lettering appears on the piece; the blessing hand says all of it.
The Divine Mercy rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
