The Vintage Bronze Small Sacred Heart Scapular Medal holds Christ in half length within a heart-shaped border, haloed with rays, his hand at the Sacred Heart on his breast. The reverse opens onto a circular field of clouds and rays with a standing figure among them.
This is the small scapular medal, the size meant to be worn constantly and then forgotten about. The Sacred Heart is the devotion given through St. Margaret Mary Alacoque at Paray-le-Monial, where Christ showed her the heart that had loved men so much and asked that the love in it be honored. The heart-shaped frame makes the whole medal repeat the image it carries. For those enrolled in a scapular, a medal of this kind takes the place of the cloth and carries the same promises with it.
The small Sacred Heart scapular medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
