The front of the Vintage Bronze Rose Medal is a rose: a full-blown bloom with a bud beside it and two leaves below, modelled in the round and cut to the flower's own outline. Turn it over and the devotion declares itself. The reverse carries the Miraculous Medal design, the Virgin standing with her hands lowered and open, and beneath her the letter M surmounted by a cross with a bar, ringed by stars.
That reverse is the one Saint Catherine Laboure was shown in the chapel on the Rue du Bac in Paris in 1830, when she was told to have a medal struck to this pattern. The open hands pour out rays, which she was told were the graces people forget to ask for. The rose on the front is Mary's flower and the sign of the Rosary itself, so the two faces say the same thing twice, once in a flower and once in the image that has been carried in pockets for nearly two centuries. The original was made in Italy.
The rose medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the medal's vintage character.

The bracelet is a handmade rolo chain in bronze-finished brass with a lobster clasp, 8 inches long, with 6 mm oval links. Fasten the clasp to any link along the chain to shorten it, so one size genuinely fits. The charm hangs from a split ring.
