Every surface of the Vintage Bronze Radiant Crucifix has been cut to catch light. Each arm flares into a wide wedge chiselled with fine parallel lines that read as beams radiating out from the center, and a small round boss punctuates the tip of each arm and the head of the shaft. Against all that movement the corpus is modelled in high relief beneath a spiked nimbus, calm at the middle of the burst.
It is a striking way of saying what the Church has always said: that the cross is not only an instrument of death but the source of light, and that Good Friday is already lit from within by Easter. There is no lettering on the piece; the design carries the whole argument on its own, and turned in the hand the incised rays darken while the raised edges stay bright.
The crucifix was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
