The Vintage Bronze Mother and Child Milagro shows a woman in a long flaring skirt with a small child standing at her side, her arm reaching across toward him. The skirt is patterned with incised scallops and rows of dots, the faces given with the barest marks, the relief flat and unhurried in the manner of Andean folk metalwork.
A milagro is a votive offering, left at a shrine in thanks for a favor received or in petition for one still hoped for, and its shape states the intention plainly. This one is the offering of a family: for a child's health, for a safe birth, for a household kept together. Mother and child is also the oldest Christian image there is, and the woman who left the original at a shrine in the Andes was setting her own household inside it.
The milagro was faithfully reproduced from an antique original found in Ecuador and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.

The bracelet is a handmade rolo chain in bronze-finished brass with a lobster clasp, 8 inches long, with 6 mm oval links. Fasten the clasp to any link along the chain to shorten it, so one size genuinely fits. The charm hangs from a split ring.
