Every edge of the Vintage Yellow Bronze Ornate Beaded Crucifix is beaded. The arms widen into fan-shaped ends outlined with rows of fine beads, each fan filled with a raised palmette and tipped with three small balls, and short beaded rays spread from the crossing behind the corpus. Against all that ornament the figure of Christ is quiet and deeply cut, the head fallen to one side, the body long and drawn.
That contrast is the whole design. The beadwork gathers the antiqued finish and glitters at every point, while the corpus, worked in the deepest relief on the piece, stays dark and still at the center of it. No lettering appears anywhere on the casting, not even a titulus above the head, which keeps the attention on the modeling. At an inch and three quarters it is a good size for the crucifix of a five-decade rosary.
The beaded crucifix was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the crucifix's vintage character.
