The front of the Vintage White Bronze Our Lady of Remedy Trinitarian Medal shows the Coronation of the Virgin, and it shows it in full. Mary stands on clouds with her hands opened outward and a ring of stars behind her head, while Christ carrying his cross and God the Father lean in from either side to set the crown on her together and the dove of the Holy Spirit descends in rays between them. The whole Trinity crowns her at once.
The reverse names the piece. Around a crowned shield bearing the Trinitarian cross, hung with fetters struck open, the lettering reads ASOCIACION DE NTRA SRA DEL REMEDIO and COLEGIO DE RR. TRINITARIAS, the Association of Our Lady of Remedy and the school of the Trinitarian Sisters. The Order of the Most Holy Trinity was founded to ransom captives out of slavery, and the broken irons are the sign of that work. Our Lady of Remedy is their name for the Virgin who sets prisoners free.
The medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
