The Vintage Bronze Mary, Queen of the Flowers Medal shows Our Lady standing with her arms lowered and open, veiled and lightly crowned, on a ground scattered with eight small open blossoms, as though flowers were drifting down around her.
The reverse names the devotion. Around a plain cross with a small heart beneath it runs VIRGEN MARIA REINA DE LAS FLORES, Virgin Mary, Queen of the Flowers, the Spanish title kept in May, the month of flowers, when children carry blossoms to her altar and crown her image. The lettering is raised and completely legible, and the two faces together make one of the most charming pieces in this group, as fitting for a May crowning or a first Communion as for daily wear.
The Queen of the Flowers medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the medal's vintage character.
