The Vintage Bronze Divine Mercy Medal is an oval set in a frame of cast scrolls and small open flowers. Christ stands with his right hand raised in blessing and his left touching his breast, and two broad shafts of rays fall from that place across the lower half of the field, as St. Faustina described the vision she was told to have painted.
The reverse carries the devotion in three lines: Jesus, I Trust In You. Faustina was told those words belonged beneath the image, and they have travelled with it ever since, the prayer of the Divine Mercy chaplet and the shortest summary of what the picture asks of anyone looking at it. The pale ray she described stands for the water of baptism and the red for the blood of the Eucharist, both pouring from the pierced side.
The Divine Mercy medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the medal's vintage character.
