The Vintage Bronze St. Theresa with Roses Medal shows a young Carmelite standing in an arched niche, a crucifix cradled against her breast with an armful of roses, and more roses strewn at her feet. The reverse is lettered beneath a star shedding its rays, with rose sprays flanking a small shield charged with a cross.
The lettering names her: SANCTA TERESIA A JESU INFANTE, Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus. She is Therese of Lisieux, the Carmelite who died at twenty-four and promised to spend her heaven doing good on earth, letting fall a shower of roses; the flowers banked around her here are the sign of that promise. Her little way, small things done with great love, has made her one of the most widely loved saints in the Church and a Doctor of it.
The St. Theresa medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the medal's vintage character.
