The Vintage Bronze Mother Teresa of Calcutta Medal hangs beneath a bar of two winged cherubs who lean across from either side as though carrying it between them. The front is a portrait of Mother Teresa herself, small and stooped, hands clasped at her breast, in the bordered head covering known the world over, with MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA lettered beside her.
The reverse carries a plain cross with her own words set into the quarters. I THIRST is the cry from the cross that she had written on the wall of every chapel of her order, and YOU DID IT TO ME comes from the judgment scene in Matthew that shaped her whole work among the dying of Calcutta. Around the rim runs her rule of life in six words, ONLY ALL FOR JESUS THROUGH MARY. It is a medal for anyone drawn to the service of the poor, or to a saint whose face they can still remember seeing.
This medal was faithfully reproduced from a vintage original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its character.
