The Vintage White Bronze Heart and Cross Rosary Center is shaped as a heart, pierced through and worked with foliage, with a Latin cross laid over the middle of it. The cross is hatched all over in a fine woven pattern and carries a small rosette where the arms meet; leaf and scroll ornament fills the two lobes of the heart, and the point below is drawn out into an open horseshoe curve.
Heart and cross together make one of the plainest statements Catholic devotion has: the cross laid on the heart, the love of God set at the center of a life. It is the same figure Saint Paul reaches for when he writes of Christ dwelling in our hearts through faith.
