The Vintage Bronze Mother Teresa I Thirst Medal carries an unmistakable portrait: Mother Teresa in the bordered sari of her congregation, her hands joined at her breast, the lines of her face worked in fine relief inside a scrolled frame with a small flower at either side.
The reverse sets three of her phrases around a long plain cross. ONLY ALL FOR JESUS THROUGH MARY runs across the top, and I THIRST and YOU DID IT TO ME stand in the quarters, the words from the Cross and from the twenty-fifth chapter of Matthew that she had painted in every chapel of her order, so that the thirst of Christ and the person in front of you would never be separated. Canonized in 2016 as St. Teresa of Calcutta, she is a modern patron for anyone whose work is with the poor.
