The Vintage Bronze Madonna Profile Rosary Center is the plainest and best kind. Our Lady is a veiled bust in strict profile on an undecorated oval field, with no rays, no stars and no lettering to compete with the line of the veil. What ornament there is has been pushed out to the shield-shaped frame, edged all round with raised beads and finished with a small crest above and a beaded rosette at the foot.
The profile Madonna is an old form, borrowed from portrait medals and given to Mary because a single line will say everything. The result reads clearly at arm's length and holds its meaning at any distance. Set in a rosary it sits just where the hand rests between decades, and the smooth field takes a soft polish there over years of praying.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
