The Vintage Bronze Large Rayed Crucifix is a substantial piece at three and a half inches, and its design rests on a single idea: light. Sharp rays spring outward from behind the crossing, the arms themselves are fluted so they read as further rays, and a crown-like finial rises above. The corpus is long and attenuated in the older manner, the loincloth drawn to a point below the knees.
No lettering appears anywhere on the cross, and the radiance does the work an inscription would otherwise do, showing the Crucifixion already as glory rather than only as death. That is the Russian instinct in devotional art, which never separates the Cross from Easter morning, and the antique original this was taken from is Russian work.
