The Vintage Bronze Holy Family and St. Christopher Cross carries a full scene on each face. On one, Mary and Joseph stand on either side of the child Jesus, who holds a slender cross-staff between them; JESUS MARY AND JOSEPH runs across the head of the cross and PRAY and FOR US down the two arms, so the whole prayer is laid out along the shape itself.
Turn it over and St. Christopher is wading through the water with his staff, the Christ Child riding on his shoulder with a hand raised, the old story of the ferryman who carried a weight heavier than the world and found out afterward who it was. Across the foot is lettered SAINT CHRISTOPHER PROTECT US. Two of the most-carried devotions in the Church, the household and the road, are set back to back on one piece just over an inch tall.
The Holy Family and St. Christopher cross was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
