The Vintage Bronze Engraved Flowers Crucifix opens a pierced flower at every arm end, four quatrefoil rosettes set around a corpus modelled in high relief beneath a small rayed titulus. For all the openwork the piece stays light and fine-boned, the kind of French work that could make a crucifix feel like jewelry without making it feel any less serious.
The reverse repeats the rosettes and carries something more personal: a line of fine cursive script running lengthwise down the shaft, cut by hand into the antique original rather than cast into it. Someone owned this cross closely enough to put their own writing on it, and the reproduction keeps that mark exactly as it survives. The quatrefoils around it stand for the four evangelists, four windows opening off the one center where Christ hangs.
The crucifix was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
