The Vintage Bronze Crucifix with Tiny Roses is strewn with flowers from end to end. Small cast roses and leaves run along the arms and the shaft and gather most thickly at the crossing, closing in around a slender corpus set tight against the wood, and the broad terminals carry the pattern out to their edges.
Roses on a crucifix make a quiet argument: dead wood breaking into flower, the Passion opening into Easter. The rose is also Our Lady's flower, so a crucifix planted with them keeps her standing where the Gospel places her, at the foot of the cross. Nothing here is lettered.
