The Vintage Bronze Beaded Border Medal with Haloed Figure has the look of a coin lifted out of the ground. A raised, irregular rim set at intervals with heavy pellets rings a field worn soft, and within it a haloed half-length figure leans to one side, an arm lifted toward something held before them.
The antique original behind this casting was carried for a very long time before it was set aside, and the softening of the relief is part of what the reproduction preserves. The halo is the whole statement: a saint kept close, worn against cloth and skin until the detail gave way to the touch.
