Five years have passed since Peter Burns was handed a letter informing him that his fiancée, Audrey Blake, had abruptly left him in the midst of a complacent period of engagement. Becoming painfully aware, in the ensuing months which turned into years, that he had been so selfish a slush as to drive Audrey away entirely, Peter has dedicated himself to establishing a new life and finding a new character, one especially marked by a fervent spirit of generosity.
In the altruism of this newfound nature, however, he has—with the help of his new fiancée, the cooly beautiful Cynthia Drassilis—spun himself into a complicated web of school-teaching and spoiled school-children, American thieves and fake British butlers, and—most spectacularly surprising—his former fiancée, the lovely Audrey Blake.
“Nature had given me the soul of a pig, and circumstances had conspired to carry on Nature’s work.”
Sir Pelham Grenville (P. G.) Wodehouse (1881–1975) was an English author and playwright and one of the premier humorists of the twentieth century. His inimitable prose, in the words of Evelyn Waugh, “has made a world for us to live in and delight in.” Wodehouse’s hundreds of written works include the masterful Jeeves & Wooster and Blandings Castle stories.

Testimonials
We love to make you smile! 😊
I've purchased several items from you folks. The quality is unbelievable and the service matches that quality. The prices are so much lower than a standard jewelry store and again the quality is way better. They are outstanding as a gift. Thank you all.
Purchased a rosary for my nephew's confirmation. I had some questions along the way and customer service was very receptive and kind... Hard to find such good customer service these days. It was very refreshing and very much appreciated!
I have ordered a few things from Catholic Shop, including medals with engraving and candles. As for the medals and engraving, super job and very well made and dear to my heart. I can not say enough about Catholic Shop, their customer service and guarantee.
