By Robert Hugh Benson
The Light Invisible is an exploration of the miracles and mysteries that can occur in the natural world. Robert Hugh Benson’s first work of contemporary fiction, these fifteen stories combine to display “a faculty common to all who possess a coherent spiritual life.” This faculty is to discern divine truths in each distinct element of the variety of creation, guided at all times by the ultimate wisdom of Revelation—that the invisible nature of God, “his eternal power and his divineness,” makes itself known to mankind through the Almighty’s handiwork.
“At the end of woe suddenly our eyes shall be opened, and in clearness of light our sight shall be full: which light is God…” (Mother Julian of Norwich)
A work from the earliest stage of Benson’s literary career—first published in 1906, just three years after his entrance into the Catholic Church—the stories of The Light Invisible are a map of his path through the challenges of writing markedly Christian stories and a beacon showing the way to man’s true spiritual home. (None other than Monsignor Ronald Knox credited The Light Invisible with aiding in his own conversion.)
Robert Hugh Benson (1871–1914) the son of the Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury, was a convert to Roman Catholicism and was ordained a priest in 1904. A dynamic preacher and author, Benson wrote dozens of novels as well as numerous short stories, plays, essays, and spiritual texts.

We love to make you smile! 😊
I've purchased several items from you folks. The quality is unbelievable and the service matches that quality. The prices are so much lower than a standard jewelry store and again the quality is way better. They are outstanding as a gift. Thank you all.
Purchased a rosary for my nephew's confirmation. I had some questions along the way and customer service was very receptive and kind... Hard to find such good customer service these days. It was very refreshing and very much appreciated!
I have ordered a few things from Catholic Shop, including medals with engraving and candles. As for the medals and engraving, super job and very well made and dear to my heart. I can not say enough about Catholic Shop, their customer service and guarantee.
