The O Holy Night Candle by Saintly Scents is a limited edition scented soy wax candle that aims to bring the old-world fragrances of the first Christmas to your home. After lighting this beautiful, 8 ounce soy candle, you'll immediately be treated to the fragrance of Christmases past and present.
We consulted historians, priests, and the Bible to get an understanding of some common fragrances that might have been lingering in the air on the night Jesus was born.
Then, we set about mixing and testing combinations of natural essential oils (including Biblical annointing oils like Frankincense, Myrrh, Hyssop, Cassia, and more!). We also added hints of a few scents that are more common to modern Christmas celebrations.
The candle scent we created is one of our favorite fragrances ever, and we offer it here in the limited edition O Holy Night scented candle.
The fragrances in this special candle include:
- frankincense
- myrrh
- clove
- hyssop
- cassia
- cinnamon
- peppermint
- fraser fir
- calumnus
- vetiver
- orange
- pine
We make each candle by hand in small batches using premium ingredients and components including organic essential oils, clean-burning soy wax (with a hint of beeswax), cotton wicks, recyclable glass jars and metal lids, and high-resolution labels.
