Product Details
This rosary honors Our Lady of Lourdes, the Immaculate Conception, who appeared to St. Bernadette in the Pyrenees in 1858.
In 1858, Our Lady appeared eighteen times to a young French peasant girl named Bernadette Soubirous in a grotto at Lourdes, in the Pyrenees. She identified herself with the words, "I am the Immaculate Conception," confirming the dogma the Church had defined just four years before. She told Bernadette to dig in the ground, and a spring flowed forth that has been the source of countless documented healings ever since. Lourdes today receives millions of pilgrims a year, and Our Lady of Lourdes is invoked especially for the sick.
