Italian Capuchin Poor Clare mystic and stigmatist (1660-1727), of Mercatello sul Metauro; entered the Capuchin Poor Clares of Città di Castello in 1677, abbess from 1716. Received the visible stigmata in 1697; her diary (begun under obedience) fills ten thousand manuscript pages. Canonized 1839 by Gregory XVI.
