Egyptian virgin (3rd-4th century, traditional, d. c. 320), traditionally of Garguar in Egypt, kinswoman or follower of the Theban Legion who came to Switzerland in their company; after the legion's destruction lived as hermitess at Solothurn and Zurzach. Patron of Swiss women; pre-Congregation.
