1st-century Asian Christian, companion of St. Paul named in Acts 20:4 and entrusted with carrying the letters to the Ephesians and Colossians (Eph 6:21; Col 4:7); also mentioned at 2 Tim 4:12 and Tit 3:12. Tradition makes him a bishop in Asia. Pre-Congregation.
