Albanian-Indian foundress (1910-1997), Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, Loreto nun in Calcutta who in 1946 received the "call within a call" to leave the convent and serve the poorest of the poor; founded the Missionaries of Charity (1950), now in 139 countries. Nobel Peace Prize (1979). Beatified 2003 by John Paul II; canonized 2016 by Francis.
