French priest (1811-1868), Marist Father turned founder; established the Congregation of the Most Blessed Sacrament (1856) and with Mother Marguerite Guillot the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament (1858), both dedicated to perpetual Eucharistic adoration and the promotion of frequent Communion. Canonized 1962 by John XXIII.
