Filipino layman and missionary (c. 1654-1672), Visayan teen-aged catechist of the Jesuit mission to the Marianas; killed at age 17 with the Jesuit Father Diego Luis de San Vitores at Tomhom on Guam by a Chamorro who opposed their baptizing his daughter. Second Filipino saint; canonized 2012 by Benedict XVI.
