Antiochene martyr (d. c. 260), reconciled with his estranged friend the priest Sapricius on the eve of Sapricius's martyrdom; when Sapricius wavered and apostatized at the last moment, Nicephorus took his place and was beheaded. Roman Martyrology commemorates him February 9.
