Norwegian layman and martyr (c. 1020-1043), of Husby in Lier near Drammen; killed at age 23 attempting to defend a pregnant slave-woman wrongly accused of theft. His killers tied a millstone to his body and threw it into the Drammensfjord, but the body floated and was venerated as miraculous. Patron of Oslo. Pre-Congregation.
