Roman matron and Benedictine oblate (1384-1440), wife of Lorenzo Ponziani for forty years; lived a married life of prayer, charity, and care for the poor through plague and the schism, founding the Oblates of Tor de' Specchi in 1433. After her husband's death she joined the community. Patron of motorists (for the angel her hagiographer said walked before her with a lantern). Canonized 1608 by Paul V.
