Roman officer in Noricum (c. 250-304), commander of an imperial fire-fighting brigade at Lauriacum (modern Lorch, Austria); arrested for confessing Christ during the Diocletian persecution, scourged, and drowned in the Enns river with a millstone. Patron of Austria, Poland, and firefighters; pre-Congregation cultus.
