Roman officer-martyrs (d. c. 303), high-ranking Christian officers of Maximian Galerius (Sergius primicerius and Bacchus secundarius); when their Christianity was discovered they were paraded in women's clothing through Resafa, Bacchus beaten to death and Sergius beheaded. Eastern "twin saints" (paired companions) and patrons of soldiers. Pre-Congregation.
