St. Margaret Mary Alacoque was a French Visitation nun, Burgundian who from 1673 received at Paray-le-Monial a series of revelations from Christ asking the establishment of devotion to his Sacred Heart, the First Friday and Holy Hour devotions, and the feast of the Sacred Heart.

Aided by her Jesuit director St. Claude La Colombière. Canonized 1920 by Benedict XV.
